Diversity Within One System
Stimulus was a temporary exhibition presenting industrial and design art fellows of the Hungarian Academy of Arts at Pesti Vigadó in Budapest. The exhibition brought together jewellery, ceramics, graphics, furniture, fashion and installations.
Planbureau developed the curatorial concept, selected and organised the works, and designed a unified exhibition system. Black MDF panels provided a common visual framework for the different exhibits. The studio also coordinated production, communication and the opening event, managing the project from initial selection to realisation.

Diverse Works, Shared Space
The exhibition needed to present the work of industrial and design art fellows from different disciplines. The selected material included jewellery, ceramics, graphic design, furniture, fashion and large-scale installations. These works varied considerably in size, material and presentation requirements.
A coherent exhibition could not be achieved through spatial arrangement alone. The curatorial selection also needed to establish meaningful relationships between individual works. The objective was to represent the diversity of the fellows' practices without losing the identity of each contribution.

One Framework for Every Scale
The exhibition required a spatial system capable of accommodating objects, graphics and installations of very different dimensions. Each work needed appropriate presentation conditions within a consistent visual environment. The system also had to integrate exhibition texts and imagery.
Planbureau developed a display architecture based on black MDF panels. These elements served as backdrops, display surfaces and spatial divisions. UV-printed texts and images were applied directly to the panels, bringing exhibition graphics and spatial design together.

One Exhibition, Fully Connected
Stimulus combined curatorial selection, exhibition architecture and project coordination into one process. Planbureau organised the presented works and developed a black MDF display system that gave the diverse exhibits a common visual setting.
The studio coordinated fabrication, construction, communication and the opening programme. Its responsibilities also included marketing materials, the opening speech, catering and related events. This integrated approach connected the physical exhibition with its organisational and public-facing elements, creating a coherent experience from preparation to opening.
